3 Active Travel Tips

Italian VistasNow that the travel world seems to be getting back to normal, here are 3 tips for today’s active traveler. Whether embarking on an Italian vacation or a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Oberammergau Passion Play, these tips will help keep you on the go.

  1. Keep hydrated! This is important at home, but even more so on the road. Keeping well-hydrated is the foundation of feeling good. Sightseeing in the sunshine, changes in altitudes, and walking all increase your body’s need for water, so drink plenty to keep your body functioning properly.
  2. Vacation brings a welcome break from the daily grind, but it can also break healthy exercise habits. Find time in your travel schedule for a little light exercise and stretching. Hotels often have under-used gyms – take advantage and keep yourself feeling great so you’ll enjoy every moment of your vacation.
  3. Between your designated meal times on tour, you might get a little hungry while seeing the great sights of the destination.  Don’t let that hunger distract you from the on-tour experience!  Carry some light and healthy snacks with you on tour to hold you over until your next meal.
