Reality Tour 2: The Return of the outlaws

Outlaws on board The train pulled out with a pair of cowboys on board. One handed out “money” to the passengers, sharing the wealth we thought he was trying to protect. (no one said the story had to make sense) And he’s posing for pictures, mugging for the camera. Everyone is eating it up. Even a cynic like me breaks into a smile.

The train makes its way out of town and into the countryside, heading back towards Sacramento. If you let your mind go just a bit you can imagine today is a day from another era.

Suddenly the locomotive comes to a halt and some unsavory characters appear from the woods. It’s a hold up! Where’s the sheriff, the US Marshall?

As the outlaws climb on board, Chad is nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he’s cowering in the bathroom? Our brave Collette passengers on the other hand, stand their ground as the bad guys steal back the money handed out earlier. (I think Dave, our tour manager, kept his). Again it’s more great fun. We are all living out our wild west dreams. And just in time our heroes save the day.

The train robbery proves to be a big hit. Now it’s picture time. The actors move up and down the cars, talking to everyone, showing off their authentic outfits.
