Reality Tour 2: Welcome to Ft. Bragg

Clffs FtToday Drew – captain of the motorcoach – more than earned his paycheck.

On a trip carefully crafted to keep the rides on the short side, the drive up from Napa Valley to Ft. Bragg felt long. I have to admit I was wondering why would we go up so far. Couldn’t we meet the Skunk Train a little further down the line?

Bragg. With Chad leading the way, we almost walked right off the edge. But all the near death experiences were forgotten as the sun dropped into the Pacific. Wow.

It felt like we were as far from home as we could be.

It had been another great day. I was looking forward to capping off our trip with a ride on the Skunk Train.

Let me clarify. This is not the Fort Bragg you might be thinking of. That Fort Bragg is one of the country’s most combat ready and active military installations. This Ft. Bragg is a beautiful old logging town, nestled in Northern California’s redwood forests.
