Beautiful Hawaii

I’ve had it with the rain. I am facing the fifth day of rain in a row. Apparently it’s exactly day 5 where I experience the rainy day blues and sunny-day daydreams worthy of Chevy Chase’s delusion of a swimming pool at Christmastime in Christmas Vacation.

Outside, it’s gray and damp. So I’ve taken to bothering my colleagues to compile a list of Sunny Destinations – if for nothing else, to just cheer me up.

Hawaii - the answer I received from quite a few colleagues!
Costa Rica - currently #1 on my own personal bucket list
Fiji – if you’re going to go all the way to the other side of the world to visit the South Pacific’s Australia & New Zealand, you might as well extend the vacation with a visit the tropical paradise of all tropical paradises!
Egypt - sun mixed with ancient, fascinating history, anyone?
Sicily - the food and culture are probably even more of a draw than the sun!
Thailand- colorful markets, charming villages, ancient temples: it’s a tranquil cultural experience with great weather!
Queensland (the very tropical state in northern Australia where just off the coast you’ll find the Great Barrier Reef)
Greece - cruising through the Meditteranean… Santorini, Mykonos… ahhh…
Portugal… we actually have a tour called Sunny Portugal, so that has to make this list!
Panama - like Costa Rica, a nature’s wonderland. I like the sound of that.
