A travel editor’s take on Collette’s Canadian Rockies Tour

Eliza Tychonievich, online editor at Group Travel Leader, Inc., recently had the opportunity to travel with Collette Vacations in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. I spoke with her by telephone about that experience and we compared impressions. My first trip with Collette back in 2005 was our Resorts of the Rockies tour and there are times where the scenery is so breathtaking that you feel as if angels will “descend from the clouds and start singing the Hallelujah Chorus” as Eliza so poignantly says in one of her posts after standing on the Columbia Icefield.

I invite you to visit Eliza’s blog – her observations and wonderful photographs really capture this destination and what it has to offer:

When I heard I was riding an overnight train from Vancouver to Jasper on my tour of the Canadian Rockies, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had ridden an overnight in economy class before when I was in college where you sleep on one of six tiny pull out beds with random other travelers in the same room. It was just as awkward as it sounds.

However, this trip wasn’t about getting someplace cheaply, but instead about the journey itself.
