Israel – You have To See It To Believe It!

Jerusalem

Jerusalem

Israel. They say ‘you have to see it to believe it’. That axiom couldn’t be more true. Of course its history is of biblical proportions, and today religion remains a huge draw for many visitors, but modern day Israel is so much more. If it’s not on your bucket list, it should be. I know many people who, without regard for religion or race, who would gladly return again and again.

For those who’ve not yet been to Israel, impressions are often skewed by geo-political factors. Don’t miss out on one of the most beautiful, intriguing and historically significant countries in the world today, simply because of what’s reported in the news. Listen instead to what others have to say. Listen to the accounts of those who have been and would, in a moments notice and with great pleasure, visit again. Ask your friends and colleagues who’ve been what they thought and it’s my guess that soon Israel will be on your bucket list, too.

Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv

Driving into Tel Aviv, the vitality of this city is everywhere; on the streets, its beaches, in the art-deco neighborhood known as ‘White City’ (a UNESCO world heritage site), and the old-world market stalls and laneways of Jaffa (also a UNESCO world heritage site)… everywhere. Tel Aviv exudes life and one can feel its pulse immediately upon entering the city.

There’s simply too much to see and do in Israel to be described here. That’s not the point of this blog. My intent here is to encourage everyone to consider your own reason for going. If its history, few places have more of it. If its geography, this land offers up more contrasts then one can ever imagine. If it’s the people you want to meet or the diversities of culture you want to experience, you’ll be shocked and amazed by what you never knew about Israel. Everything you see will leave you entranced and that’s probably the biggest reason so many want to return and why so many never take Israel off their bucket list.

Yes, it’s true; you really do ‘have to see it to believe it’.

Collette, along with two of our airline partners Air Canada and El Al, recently hosted 23 travel agents and two Collette staff on a tour to Israel. Few, if any had been to Israel before. Having showcased the myriad wonders of Israel, all the participants returned in awe of what they’d seen and experienced first-hand. There’s no equivalent to actually being there, and those of you wishing to go to Israel can draw on these agents’ newfound experience and expertise.

Just leave a comment here and I can direct you to the travel agent nearest you.

For those of you who do not speak French, here are mrouillard’s comments roughly translated.

Even with some nervousness that we understand the new I decided to visit Israel. I do not know what to expect, I was delighted!

Many of us have a pre-conceived idea before going in travel. No matter what ideas they are false!

A guided tour is definitely the best way to visit Israel for the first time. I felt safe everywhere, we had the finest hotels, the best guide, driver friendly, not long on the bus because Israel is a small country – in size only!

I loved Israel! I will definitely! It is true that we must see to believe!
From modern cities to quaint village through the kibbutz, deserts, mountains, plains, farms, oceans, cultures, people, history, arts and super good food, not forgetting our friend Galarneau Sun Sun Sun!. The beaches of Tel Aviv’s White City are beautifully covered with sand, soft and very clean! Not to be missed, the lowest point in the world: the Dead Sea where the fleet and it treats psoriasis and rheumatism!

This trip is an unforgettable experience!

I was very fortunate to have travelled to Israel this past May. To say it was an amazing experience is an understatement. I cannot describe how much culture and history Israel has to offer. The food was unbelievable, the scenery was breathtaking and I would definately recommend Israel to anyone!
