This guest post comes from Paula Twidale, executive vice president, Collette Vacations; and active Board Member of the United States Tour Operator Asscociation (USTOA). USTOA is a professional association representing the tour operator industry, composed of companies whose tours and packages encompass the entire globe and who conduct business in the U.S.

I just returned from USTOA’s board meeting held at Denver’s Brown Palace Hotel, a four star property, and new member of USTOA.
I am very excited about USTOA’s direction, including advocacy, networking, social media and open borders to Cuba to name a few.
Members of this organization are leaders in the industry who possess the knowledge and competency for providing incredible tour experiences around the globe. At Collette, we proudly display the USTOA logo on our brochures signifying that we are a member in good standing and we are backed by their million-dollar Travelers Assistance Program.
Agents and consumers can feel confident when traveling with a company like those belonging to this trade organization. We remain current and have been the “go to” resource for media regarding travel trends on many occasion. A great organization and talented group of which I am proud to be associated, I am looking forward to our annual conference in December in Marco Island, where we will interact with over 800 diverse delegates.
