Top Five from the Colors of New England

Fall Foliage BenningtonHere are my top 5 experiences on this outstanding fall foliage tour:

  • A locally guided tour of historic Boston that includes the the U.S.S. Constitution, one of my favorite things to see as a kid.
  • Dinner at America’s oldest Oyster House, located on the historic Freedom Trail. I used to stop in here at least once a month when I worked in the city.
  • A visit to a working farm – complete with a tour of the farm, creamery and equestrian center. More great New England childhood memories.
  • A chance to explore the historic town of Bennington, Vermont. This includes a visit to the grave site of famed American poet, Robert Frost. Reread  “The Road Not Taken.”  This simple poem isn’t so cut and dry.
